December sees latest Chinese DAP/MAP export halt
Russia’s Acron has said its Q1 2018 production is 22% higher year on year to 249,000t following modernisation works at its existing urea units. In addition, the company plants to build a sixth urea unit with a capacity of 220,000 tonnes/year. The new unit is expected to be launched in the autumn having originally been scheduled to start up in the summer.
The current production capacity stands at 1.1m. tonnes/year.
Acron also increased its ammonia output, up 3% in Q1 2018 year on year to 667,000t. The company consumes 84% of its ammonia internally.
Ammonium Nitrate production increased 5% over the same period to 499,000t while UAN production was up 6% to 316,000t.
